Jahrbücher für Geschichte Osteuropas
Jahrbücher für Geschichte Osteuropas [Yearbooks for the history of Eastern Europe] is the only scholarly refereed journal of a comprehensive nature in the German-speaking area that reaches everyone interested in the history of Eastern Europe, at the same time offering a forum for the scholarly exchange of opinions on an international scale. It thematically and geographically covers the full range of the history of all Eastern European countries. The comprehensive review section, which roughly takes up a third of each issue, offers an overview of the most important publications with a special focus on German research.
jgo.e-reviews
The additional supplement jgo.e-reviews provides up-to-date reviewing. jgo.e-reviews is a platform for those who are familiar with new, internet-based media, people who value fast publishing of their reviews. On the contrary, there are obviously always delays with printed issues, due to the fixed number of pages. The quality criteria regarding reviews, the principles for selecting books and the extent of editorial support all follow the standards which apply to the printed issues of the Jahrbücher.
